Recent and Upcoming Events MAY 2011 - EXHIBIT OF PAINTINGS BY DOMINICAN ARTISTS  Dominican author BASILIA CABRERA (left) assists business- woman ANGELA GOMEZ, at the reception desk to the INWOOD CULTURAL CENTER AT ST. JUDE, during the "Dominican Painters" art exhibit, which Gomez organized, May 22-29, 2011.  Singer GIL ROBINSON (in white), who provided entertainment, surrounded by GOMEZ and visitors, at the "Dominican Painters" art exhibit. JUNE 2011 - RAFFLE OF PAINTING  The painting "BAILARINA DE FLAMENCO", oil on canvas by Dominican painter VICENTE FABRE, raffled to raise funds for the INWOOD CULTURAL CENTER, on June 26, 2011, at 2:30 p.m.  MARIE PETZ, the young lady randomly selected to draw the winning ticket, shows an empty hand, moments before the raffle.  MARIE reaches into the bag with the raffle tickets, as her mother, Sarah, looks on.  MARIE draws the winning ticket.  The winning ticket: #0350, purchased by MANUEL SOSA.  MARIE signs her name, while ANGELA calls MANUEL SOSA to inform him that he is the winner.  JULIO C. NUNEZ, director of the INWOOD CULTURAL CENTER AT ST. JUDE, holds the winning ticket above the raffled painting.  MANUEL SOSA, winner of the raffle.  Fr. ELIAS ISLA, pastor of St. Jude Church, and MANUEL SOSA, hold up the prize. |
